Outlander 20L Travel Backpack Challenge
Its time for the Mini Travel Bag Challenge! Today we are going to look at the 20L Outlander 20L Travel Backpack. I have packed enough gear for 4 full days in a warm location, say Hawaii or Mexico. Let’s get if we can fit it all in the bag!
Here is my full set of gear for my trip. My gear was kept to a minimum, yet I didn’t skimp on necessities. I included 4 sets of clothes, plus all the toiletries and gear to keep me happy for 4 days in paradise. Since the clothes you are wearing during travel count towards the 4 days, I only packed the remaining 3 days into the bag.
This bag has been my go-to day pack for longer trips, but I haven’t tried to travel with it alone. Usually it gets added to my luggage, and brought out when I am roaming around town. It’s a great size, lightweight, and inexpensive.
I was really impressed with the performance of this bag. This thing packs down so small, it is ridiculous, you can fit it in your pocket! Yet it easily holds enough gear for 4 full days of travel. I think if you really went minimalistic here with wool clothes, you could really travel almost indefinitely with this bag.
This bag is really designed to be a small daypack. It is sturdy, and water resistant, however the material is thin and the shoulder straps are skimpy. If you really pushed it and over-stuffed this bag it could probably hold more than you would comfortable to carry with it.
It fits! With room to spare =) this might be my new world travel bag (unless I’m going somewhere cold and need a jacket that is).
